January 2012 marked the completion of my
15th year in real estate as a Sales Representative, and I have been with this excellent company Bowes & Cocks, Limited,
Realtor for the whole of this time. I was educated at Nottingham
University in England where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Civil Engineer in 1972, and this was
followed by over 20 years at a Professional level in Civil Engineering as a member of The Institution of Civil Engineers,
The Institution of Municipal Engineers, and The Institution of Highway Engineers, and during this period I gained many project
management and people skills which can be applied to helping you with all your Real Estate needs. I also spent 2 years in Sierra Leone, West Africa as a volunteer engineer assigned to a CARE
project building roads to remote villages. It was during this time in Africa that I met Marta, my wife to be, a Canadian Registered
Nurse with CUSO assigned to a small village hospital. We settled
in England where Marta spent the next 18 years trying to convince me that we should move to Canada ,and here we are living
in Peterborough since 1995. The best move we ever made! We have one son who attended the PCVS high school in Peterborough.
He seems to have thrived here, and in his spare time through the excellent Air Cadet squadron in Peterborough, he was able
to become a Glider Pilot and get his Private Pilots Licence for single engined aircraft.(he is now working as a commercial
pilot). This is a great place to raise a family... To relax
i spend my time here in the Kawartha Lakes with Marta, paddling our canoe in the many beautiful lakes and rivers, photographing
the landscape and wildlife, and cross country skiing/snow shoeing. My
registration as a Real estate Sales Representative followed after successfully completing the most extensive and practical
pre-licensing course available for Real Estate practitioners in Canada organized by the Ontario Real Estate Association. Now
my professional affiliations include being a member of the Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes Association of Realtors(PKAR),
